The
Smoking
Circle
The design uses a unique revolving wall which can be turned to
block the elements from which ever direction the wind
is coming from. Unlike the static bus stop styles that allow wind
and rain in through large gaps or because they are just
facing the wrong way. Our design
also incorporates a central drinks tray and a shelf around the
centre column.
The
standard model shown is a 3 meter diameter 10-12 person shelter. The
frame is made from aluminium box section clad with 5mm clear
PET
glazing which is impact resistant, fire resistant and offers good
Ultra Violet protection. The structure is secured to the ground
through
a large
base plate and supplemented by four locking positions which help
secure the structure when not in use.

Recommendations:
This
shelter needs a flat surface for smooth running. It is therefore
recommended that you provide an existing flat area for fitting. If
you do not already have a suitable surface, a concrete base must
be installed
before
delivery of the shelter. If the shelter is to be placed near an existing
wall it must be 1.5 meters away from the wall to comply with
current legislation. Our initial research suggests that planning
permission is not needed for this structure although we advise all
our customers to contact their local Councils Planning Department
to confirm that they would class this as a movable structure (like
a garden shed)
